Softly Quince
My garden’s a work in progress, with so many baby trees I planted in 2023… cherry, peach, plum, and plenty of citrus.
But just behind the house, there are a couple of quince trees left by the previous owners. In Spain, quinces are cherished for making carne de membrillo, a thick, jam-like treat that’s a perfect match for goat cheeses. It’s super yummy!
I wasn’t familiar with quince trees before, so I was really surprised when I first saw them flowering. Their large pink and white blossoms are so delicate, almost butterfly-like.
This pattern collection is centered around a hero pattern showcasing these flowers. It’s soft, warm and full of spring vibes. The four coordinates are much simpler with outlines, shapes and tossed motifs connecting back to the main theme.
